Research Engineer £43 – 56 per hour Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the research department of one of our Aerospace manufacturers. You will be leading a composites bonding project, managing supplier relationships and overseeing material testing. We're ideally looking for someone with experience of the processing of composite materials that has worked with composite suppliers. The role is being offered on an initial 6-month basis, with the possibility of extension. You will be required to be onsite 3 days a week in Filton. We can pay a rate between £43 - £56 per hour PAYE Inside IR35. Key accountabilities Deliver research projects, from project conception through to project closure. Actively engage in the creation of innovative ideas that add value to NDT projects. Conduct 'hands on' work, raising and issuing reports and presentations. Read and use specifications/standards to support subcontractors of employees to undertake tests. Support planning activities for project and technical work as required. Ensure EHS policy and process adherence for your activities, and you will contribute to a proactive EHS culture in the wider team. Requirements: 3 years experience as a Project Engineer or Research Engineer. Experience running and managing technology research projects. Experience in processing of Composite Materials and materials testing Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills, particularly with external suppliers. Motivated self-starter who can adapt to changes in project work scope Desired: A degree or Masters level qualification in an Engineering discipline, preferably in materials science, aerospace or mechanical engineering. Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
