Description Who we’re looking for The Head of Transaction Services EMEA is responsible for the leadership, management and oversight of the Transaction Services function across EMEA. You will establish robust governance and oversight frameworks, promote a strong client-focused culture, and ensure the operating model remains aligned to business strategy, risk appetite and regulatory obligations. The Transaction Services EMEA Team are responsible for the full lifecycle of all asset types, supporting pre trade, trade and post trade activities. This includes: •Client cash flows that support the fund and clients mandate instructions. •Trade lifecycle management including confirmation, matching, settlement, collateral management, fails resolution, CSDR and interest claim management across all asset types including ETD & OTC derivatives. •Processing of cash payment instructions in line with company policies. •Monitoring and processing of all corporate action and income events •Reporting of transactions to adhere to Swiss regulatory requirements About Schroders We're a global investment manager. What doesn't change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper. The Team The Global Operating Platform (GOP) is the engine that enables Schroders to serve clients effectively. It brings together five core operational functions, working collaboratively across global hubs to support the full client journey—covering onboarding, transaction processing, asset servicing, reconciliation and client reporting. GOP colleagues partner closely with teams and stakeholders across the firm, including Risk, Compliance, Technology, Finance and Client Group, to deliver high-quality, consistent outcomes for clients and investment teams, underpinned by robust governance, clear accountability and strong data quality. The GOP operates through a hub-based model across the UK, EMEA, India, Singapore and New York, providing near-continuous delivery, oversight and ongoing process improvement. Many processes are delivered from our Chennai and Kochi hubs in India, with oversight and governance maintained from our UK, Singapore and New York hubs to ensure consistent standards, accountability and resilience. The base The Schroders Campus in Horsham is a key hub within this global model. Campus brings together colleagues from most of our core functions, including many within Platform Services—the operational engine room of the GOP. Platform Services delivers business-as-usual activity through five modules: Global Platform Services Support; Onboarding & Event Management; Transaction Services; Fund Mandates; and Client Mandate Lifecycle. Colleagues based on Campus play a vital role in providing oversight and governance, as well as delivering some processes—bringing deep operational expertise, strong risk management and control discipline, and a continuous improvement mindset. What you'll do: •Ensure appropriate people, processes and controls are in place across the technology platforms to support transaction services maintain accurate trade, position and cash records within the IBoR. •Be the functional point of escalation, managing senior front office and client group stakeholders covering risk issues, the performance of the services being run using MI and presenting resolutions to improve processes •Ensure the EMEA oversight function in Horsham is fit for purpose, including the right preventative controls and continuous assessment the effectiveness of our processes •Lean into AI Innovations and identify automation opportunities, including the redesign of legacy processes, to reduce risk and make our services for effective •Ensure that operational processes are robust, efficient and flexible in meeting new client, business and/or regulatory requirements. •Ensure that the appropriate governance. monitoring and control processes are in place to monitor capacity, team and external business party performance. •Ensure that the function operates within the requirements of all applicable laws and regulations. Attend regulatory committees where necessary. •Ensure key processes are documented, key dependencies are understood and risks (along with mitigations) are clear and transparent as part of the teams Risk and Control Assessments (RCA’s). •Have oversight of all post trade application contracts, supplier relationships appointed and/or monitored by the function. Perform periodic reviews / assessments. •Ensure that the function is effectively managed, raising performance through robust performance appraisals and continual feedback initiatives. •Ensure that appropriate succession and development plans are in place for the continued effectiveness of the function. The skills, experience and knowledge you’ll need •Significant experience across multiple transaction services disciplines, such as trade operations, cash operations, corporate actions, derivative operations and reconciliations. •Proven leadership experience within a complex operational environment supporting investment and/or wealth businesses. •Strong risk and control mindset, with experience implementing and maintaining effective governance frameworks. •Demonstrable experience driving operational improvement and embedding best-practice processes and controls. •Strong senior stakeholder management and relationship skills, with the ability to influence across functions and regions. •Experience leading complex change across multiple processes, locations and stakeholder groups. The skills, experience and knowledge that will help •Experience supporting derivatives processing (ETD and/or OTC). •Experience managing third-party delivery models (outsourcing and/or resource augmentation), including international arrangements. •Track record of using technology, automation and innovation to modernise legacy processes, improve efficiency and reduce operational risk. •Transformation experience (operating model, process redesign, platform change and/or service migration).
