About the Department
The Department of Social Sciences is a multidisciplinary group dedicated to research, teaching, and community empowerment, hosting several research groups and initiatives, including the Scottish Cold Case Unit.
Role Overview
We seek a Lecturer in Criminology to deliver teaching, undertake research, publish in high-impact journals, and enhance the department's profile nationally and internationally. The role includes leading civic engagement and work placement initiatives, particularly through the Scottish Cold Case Unit.
Candidate Requirements
* PhD or near completion in a relevant discipline
* Experience in teaching and supervising criminology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
* Research expertise in a relevant area
* Experience in developing inclusive and accessible teaching resources
