Southfields offers overnight short breaks for people with learning disabilities and complex medical health needs from the age of sixteen upwards.
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team to provide a nurturing and safe environment that promotes the emotional and physical well-being of individuals. Candidates should be flexible, collaborative, and committed to improving outcomes for people.
You will work with a small team to ensure smooth shift operations, providing stimulating and meaningful activities. Under guidance and supervision, you will supervise and respond to each person to ensure their safety, comfort, and reassurance, making each visit enjoyable.
The role involves a flexible shift pattern, including day and night shifts, and working two weekends per month.
Applicants should hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this within two years. Completion of the Care Certificate is also expected if not already obtained.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and knowledge of safeguarding and adult protection are required. Candidates must take personal and professional responsibility for their actions. In return, we offer ongoing specialist training and regular supervision to support career development.
Interviews will be held on 15th September, with invitations sent to shortlisted applicants by 3rd September.
