Our client, a boutique employer in their chosen field, seek a senior experienced payroll candidate, with solid experience, end to end payroll, pension experience, CIS and quickbooks to join their team in a pivotal role•
As a payroll specialist/payroll manager you will be office based Monday to Friday and be a strong communicator with an eye for details and will be responsible for the following:
1. To administer and run the monthly payroll for the two companies.
2. Assisting with the transition of payroll to an internal HR system. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work with a growing business and be part of the integration team for the new software. This will involve attending regular project meetings to ensure a smooth transition.
3. To have experience with payroll taxes and other deductions
4. A new salary-sacrifice style pension scheme was recently introduced so the role will involve the administration of this, plus resolving queries etc.
5. Assist with employee payroll and tax queries, consulting with HMRC where needed
6. Coordinate and produce the month end payroll journals and input to the accounting system (currently QuickBooks).
7. Produce reports and assist the Financial Controller in monthly payroll reconciliations and queries
8. Work closely with HR to gather overtime and absence information to input into the monthly payroll calculations
