Availability Window – Days and times vary by week: Sun 06:00:00–12:00, Mon 06:00:00–09:45:00, Thu 06:00:00–09:45:00, Fri 06:00:00–12:00:00, Sat 06:00:00–12:00:00. The table shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. Pay and hours – Our Colleague rate starts from £12.45 per hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.
About the role – This is a busy, varied role in a store. It is a committed position with everyday challenges. It requires someone who can be a doer and contribute to a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; delivering great natural service.
* Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
* Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
* Apply training to work safely, effectively, and serve customers brilliantly.
* Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet customer needs.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and contribute to driving service, sales, reducing waste, shrink, and delivering profit.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
* Represent Tesco values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
* Occasionally accept deliveries into the store.

* Ability to build rapport with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
