MCS Group is seeking to connect with an ambitious Programme Manager with experience of managing software development projects for a key client of theirs. Well established in Belfast, this firm specialises in driving digital transformation for their customers (who sit across both public and private sectors) through innovative software solutions - operating on a global scale. The programme manager will join their business at an exciting time of expansion for the business locally and will have the opportunity to deliver projects for a massive customer base, hone their people management skills and afford the support of an expert senior leadership team. What You'll Be Doing: The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of large-scale, software projects across geographically distributed teams. Driving programmes from inception to completion - managing scope, quality, time, and budget. You'll partner with engineering leads to estimate effort, define milestones, and remove blockers. You'll communicate effectively and regularly with senior stakeholders to keep delivery on track and transparent. You'll apply your knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and traditional project methodologies to get results. What We're Looking For: A background in technical programme or project management, ideally with a focus or exposure to software delivery. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills - you're someone who can influence and drive alignment. Experience working with project management tools like DevOps, Jira, Trello, or MS Project. A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, experience of interfacing into software development teams and delivering in Agile or hybrid environments. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Prince2 certifications would be highly advantageous. This is a hybrid working role based in Belfast.
