Equans is looking for a Night Security Supervisor to join our team, working on the Kingston University halls of residence, Seething Wells, KT6 5PJ, on a permanent basis. This role involves working 42 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £32, per annum, along with an attractive benefits package. Please note, you will be employed by Equans, supporting their Kingston University contract
Shift Pattern:
Night shifts
7pm - 7am 4 shifts on 4 shifts off
Position Overview:
A security supervisor is in charge of coordinating and overseeing the security staff in a building on shift or within a designated area. Their responsibilities focus on devising strategies, appointing personnel, and implementing protocols that would ensure the safety of an establishment, goods, and the people inside. Furthermore, they must make sure that all security devices and equipment are working correctly, create and manage schedules and rotas, monitor and evaluate every security personnel's performance, and maintain a safe environment for everyone. Should there be any incidents, it is crucial to coordinate with the police right away.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training New staff members
2. Ensure staff members are familiar with the onsite Assignment Instructions
3. Monitor welfare checks and coordinate regular check calls whilst on duty
4. One to one meeting with staff, undertake/work with management on probationary and performance reviews
5. Work with Halls management on Stage One investigations on Security staff complaints
6. Keeping the staff, students, and members of public safe.
7. All holiday approval to go to supervisors and work with Management to cover and make sure rota up to date
8. Inputting overtime for staff on spreadsheet
9. Make sure all Security noticeboards and folders are up to date and correct working with Halls Management
10. Securing buildings with regular patrols between Kingston hill and Seething wells halls of residence sites and CCTV monitoring.
11. Ensuring the security of vehicles entering and exiting site(s).
12. Ensuring all paperwork in vans are up to date and scanned logged copies onto SharePoint
13. Checking personnel passes.
14. Make sure all staff training is up to date
15. Regular meetings with Management and handovers
16. Assisting with any conflict situations that occur within the premises.
Requirements:
17. The candidate must hold a valid SIA Security Guard/Door Supervisors license with Public Space CCTV licence highly desirable.
18. Requires First aid at work
19. It is essential that the candidate has security experience
20. Must be smart in appearance as will be in a front-line role.
21. Full Driving Licence needed
22. Microsoft Office competent skills- must be able to use emails, internet, excel and word
