Croydon Council - Communications and Engagement Officer
Croydon is London’s largest borough, and the council delivers hundreds of essential services our residents rely on, from social care to clean, safe streets. We’re looking for a creative communications professional, passionate about working with local communities, to join our corporate team.
You’ll be a first-class communicator, capable of creating high-quality content for all our channels, including digital, social media, e-newsletters, video, and print. You should have a strong news sense, be highly skilled in narrative development, and possess excellent written communication skills, an eye for design, and attention to detail.
Reporting to the External Communications and Engagement Manager, you’ll be involved in delivering a wide range of communications that support our strategic objectives. Working with colleagues across the organization, you’ll plan and deliver behavior change campaigns, provide residents with essential information and advice, and help tell the story of some of our busiest services. No two days are the same!
Listening to residents is a top priority. We’re seeking someone committed to engaging with our diverse communities, external partners, and colleagues at all levels of the organization. If this sounds like you, please contact katie.edland@croydon.gov.uk for a chat about the role.
