Senior Buyer - Ambient
Yorkshire (Hybrid)
£75,000 plus car allowance and bonus
We're recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join a leading food retailer, managing a key Ambient category. This is a high-impact role for someone with a trader's mentality - commercially sharp, fast-moving, and confident making decisions that drive profit.
What You'll Do
* Own and manage the ambient category end-to-end
* Build strong supplier relationships and lead negotiations
* React to trends and drive new product opportunities
* Collaborate with internal teams including supply chain and merchandising
* Deliver margin and commercial targets through smart, agile buying
What We're Looking For
* Experience in buying within food retail (ambient preferred)
* Strong commercial mindset with a deal-driven approach
* Confident negotiator who thrives under pressure
* Knowledge of the UK grocery or retail landscape
* Based in Yorkshire or willing to travel regularly
