We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to act as the Engagement Manager for a high-profile ongoing project with a leading telecommunications customer. The role will be based in London, with regular visits to the client’s offices required.
You will be responsible for leading the project delivery, managing senior customer stakeholders, and ensuring alignment between technical requirements and business objectives. Given the customer’s highly technical background, the ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen in telco environments (preferably BRM & ECE), combined with proven stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary engagement manager for the customer, ensuring smooth communication and delivery alignment.
* Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and reporting against agreed timelines and deliverables.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels.
* Translate complex technical requirements into actionable project plans.
* Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring accountability and successful delivery.
* Mitigate risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement throughout the engagement.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Engagement Manager within the telecommunications sector.
* Strong technical understanding of telco environments – BRM & ECE knowledge preferred.
* Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing skills, with the ability to work with technically minded client teams.
* Strong background in delivering complex IT/Telco projects.
* Based in London or nearby, with the ability to attend customer offices regularly.
* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
