Pregnancy Loss Lead Midwife
to join our maternity team. This is a role for an experienced midwife to provide an essential bereavement service to women, their families, and staff at
Frimley Park Hospital. This position will be a job share with the current post holder, working
18.75 hours per week. As the Pregnancy Loss Lead, you will:
Act as a clinical specialist providing verbal and written information to bereaved families and supporting women and their families who have experienced fetal loss and/or childbirth-related difficulties. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including Fetal Medicine, Mental Health, and Perinatal Pathologists to provide seamless services to these families. Provide highly specialist guidance and support to midwifery, nursing, and medical staff within the Women's Directorate when caring for women experiencing pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or early neonatal death. Serve as an educational resource for staff on physical, psychological, and administrative aspects of bereavement care, including providing support and training on bereavement-related issues.
