Job Opportunity: Coaching & Workforce Officer
Location: Hybrid (Staffordshire FA Office, remote, and across the County)
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 36.5 per week
Staffordshire FA is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join their team as a Coaching & Workforce Officer. This newly created role is central to the development and support of the football workforce across Staffordshire, including over 3,800 coaches and thousands of volunteers working within 2,600 teams.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing coaching standards, supporting club development, and growing a diverse, skilled volunteer base. They will lead coach development initiatives, mentor individuals, and manage a team of Coach Developers, ensuring clubs have access to high-quality support and guidance.
This role requires someone with a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of grassroots football. The ideal candidate will be a UEFA B qualified coach with real-world experience, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to inclusivity and safeguarding. They will be confident using FA technology systems and capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders across the game.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering a county-wide Coach Development Programme
2. Supporting England Football Accredited Clubs
3. Promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality
4. Enhancing volunteer retention and development
5. Championing FA safeguarding standards
6. Monitoring and evaluating coaching programmes using data
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, with work taking place remotely, at the Staffordshire FA office, and across the County. Evening and weekend work will be required to meet the needs of the football workforce.
