We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed library leader to be responsible for the management of 16 libraries and a mobile Library Services in Cheshire East. The position is for 1 FTE (37 hours) per week permanent contract.
About you
The service has recently been restructured and with a new Library strategy we are looking for a warm, open-hearted, and open-minded individual to lead the library team.
The service is focused on excellent customer experience and developing services to meet community need. Key will be partnership working across the Council, in particular with Adults and Children’s Directorates, to deliver our people based integrated services from libraries in the heart of our communities.
Experienced in Library management and working with communities, you will have an optimistic outlook, a positive attitude to trying new things, and a kind approach to people and the planet.
The successful candidate will have:
• Extensive knowledge of Libraries development practice;
• A high degree of interpersonal skills;
• The ability to converse at ease with our internal and external customers;
• A flexible approach to work;
