Job Summary
* Dispenses medicines to outpatients and inpatients.
* Ensures good housekeeping in the dispensary by keeping benches and baskets clear of drugs no longer required.
* Organises and maintains medicine supplies within the dispensary.
* Resolves stock issues according to departmental procedures.
* Provides Pharmacy Dispensary support.
* Deals with enquiries from patients and healthcare staff.
* Undertakes related clerical duties.
* Provides training and supervision.
* Dispenses and provides patient counselling.
* Provides a top-up service of stock items to wards and departments where required.
* Cover reception for outpatients and inpatients requiring use of digital systems.
* Is competent in the use of the automated dispensing equipment and resolves operational issues.
