We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Whitemoor, a high-security adult/male prison. As a painter and decorator, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Responsibilities
As a painter and decorator within GFSL, you will contribute to the maintenance and appearance of the facilities, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support safe and secure prison operations. You will apply coatings, prepare surfaces, and complete tasks to a high standard in collaboration with colleagues across trades.
Qualifications
* Required: A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent)
* Experience: Experience working in a maintenance team
* Character: Honest and reliable, with a sense of purpose and pace
About GFSL and the role
We are a Ministry Of Justice business providing critical and time-bound services to HMPPS. GFSL has been advised that FM services will be delivered by private sector providers following a procurement process, with transfer expected no sooner than August 2027.
