An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and ambitious DT Teacher to join the teaching staff of a vibrant independent school in South Devon. This post will focus on teaching Product Design and Resistant Materials from Year 7 through A-Level, using the school’s outstanding DT facilities including CNC machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, and a full suite of CAD software.
You will join a department that is valued highly within the school and is central to many cross-curricular initiatives. Students regularly enter national design competitions and have achieved recognition for sustainability and engineering projects. There is scope for the right candidate to shape the future direction of the department and introduce new design technologies.
Experience and Qualifications
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven ability to teach DT across all key stages, including A-Level
• Strong practical and technical knowledge
• Commitment to innovation and future technologies
• Right to work in the UK
