We are looking for a Production Planner to join our Customer Demand, Planning & Replenishment Team. The working hours for this role are 4 on 4 off, working 12 hour shifts, 06:00 - 18:00 (42 hours per week) and the role is based at our Acorn House office in Highbridge.
You will be responsible for creating, maintaining and optimising constraint‑based production plans to achieve the best possible customer service whilst supporting optimised manufacture and use of materials.
Responsibilities
* Through effective use of planning & scheduling software systems, develop and maintain feasible and optimised production plans and schedules, balancing demand, capacity, shelf life, and material constraints while minimising waste and obsolescence.
* Proactively manage planning exceptions, risks, and capacity/material constraints, taking corrective action and escalating trade‑offs with clear, data‑based recommendations.
* Through effective collaboration with manufacturing and replenishment operations, align production plans with the agreed business objectives and priorities.
* Maintain, optimise, and exploit all current systems and software. Positively engage and support the development and implementation of new software systems and approaches.
* Produce accurate, reliable, and timely reports and analysis to advise the wider business of current performance and any risks to performance.
* Provide the liaison for any issues arising during the shift and escalating any significant risks and impacts to plan achievement which may result in a significant impact to customer service.
* Build and maintain excellent relationships, confidence and trust with internal teams. Create shared understanding and effective solutions.
