Daily Expectations & Routine Morning Routine: Students arrive from around 8:30am. You will support them as they settle into school, helping regulate emotions and preparing them for the day ahead. Lessons: Throughout the day, you will: Support students using BSL during lessons Break down instructions into accessible communication Move around the classroom, not remain static Help students stay engaged and focused Lunch & Social Time: You will eat alongside students and use this time to: Continue building communication skills Encourage social interaction Support emotional regulation where needed End of Day: Students typically leave earlier in SEN settings. Staff remain until between 3:30pm–4:30pm, using this time for: Planning Progress notes Communication logs Lesson Support Expectations You will be fully involved in lessons: Supporting literacy and communication development Reinforcing understanding through BSL Encouraging independence Providing real-time feedback Additional Responsibilities Supporting emotional regulation Working closely with SENCO and therapists Helping students develop life skills All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
