Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting with daily activities.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
* Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their health and well-being are addressed.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or care manager.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the health of all residents.
Skills
* Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
