Electrical QC Inspector\n12 mth contract + rolling + Outside IR35 + Reading based\nRole Profile\nYou will be an experienced Electrical Engineer & Inspector providing independent Quality Control across a range of electrical disciplines. Fit and able to work at height and confined spaces, you will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and be able to operate on sites with minimal supervision.\nYour role will involve working in a client facing environment on sites with differing working cultures. As such you will be demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.\nExperience / responsibilities\n * Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering and minimum 5 years of electrical inspection of fabrications / manufactured equipment for conventional power generation applications.\n * Attending meetings or reviewing paperwork, eg.
inspection test plans or lifetime quality records or you will be physically inspecting various types of systems and equipment such as cable management systems, 3 phase distribution and control panels, UPS, HVAC controls, lighting, power, instrumentation, trace heating, fire alarms and a variety of specialist equipment. All inspected to the applicable standards and specifications.\n * Sound understanding and qualification where necessary in Electrical Inspections.\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience:\n * Min 5yrs working knowledge of UK requirements for Electrical Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry including Oil & Gas. Heavy Industry, Construction, other Renewables sectors.\n * Quality- SQEP Assessment (Suitably Qualified and Experienced person)\n * Be able to demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work.\n * Have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of influencing and negotiating, particularly in technical discussions relating to Inspection.\n * Have good technical writing and communication skills.\n * Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements\n * Good working knowledge and application of ISO 9001.\n * Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.\n * Experience in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Heavy Industry, large Construction sites, Biomass, Renewables, high hazard areas.
Have you inspected on large construction sites/nuclear sites?\nQualifications\n * Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 4/TR23/TR21 or ONC/HNC or Degree\n * Proven and demonstrable experience as a skilled electrical person\n * C&G 2391 / 2392 (or 2394/2395)\n * ATEX (desirable)\n * COMPEX 01-04 (desirable)\n * 17th or 18th Edition
