We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers to join a children’s residential service supporting three young people between 8 - 13 years' old.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with at least 6 months’ experience working with children or within residential care who are looking to secure a long-term permanent role within a supportive and structured environment.
About the Home
The home has 3 young people in the service aged 8 - 13.
The home requires patient, resilient and nurturing individuals who can provide structure, consistency and positive role modelling.
Shift Pattern
*
7:30am – 10:00pm
*
Must be able to do 3 - 4 shifts per week, including weekends at times
*
Sleep-ins available
Pay Rates
*
£12.50 per hour (Days)
*
£50 per sleep-in
Key Responsibilities
*
Supporting daily routines including education engagement, meals and activities
*
Managing and responding to behaviours calmly and professionally
*
Promoting emotional regulation and positive coping strategies
*
Supporting young people with challenging behaviours
*
Encouraging engagement in education and structured activities
*
Maintaining a safe, nurturing and structured home environment
*
Recording daily logs and contributing to care planning
*
Working collaboratively with the wider professional network
Essential Requirements
*
Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children (residential experience desirable)
*
Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
*
Aged 22 or over
*
Calm, resilient and emotionally intelligent approach
*
Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
