Overview
Bank Chef - working across Scarborough, Bridlington and Malton. Contract Type - Bank. Hours - As and When Required. Base - Scarborough, Bridlington and Malton. Scarborough Hospital Catering Department requires an enthusiastic Bank Chef to work in the Main Kitchens of the Catering Department, across the East Coast Hospitals.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible in order to work variable hours. You must be able to use initiative, be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills. Applicants must be able to work under pressure, prioritise their own workload and be able to carry out physical tasks. Must have a Driving Licence.
Responsibilities
* Preparation & Cooking Tasks
* Maintenance of Hygiene Standards
* Food Safety, Assured Safe Catering Health and Safety Legislation
* Follow Department procedures and good practices
* Keeping the kitchen areas clean
* Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
* Washing up and other general cleaning duties
* Knowledge of Special Diets
* Organise daily working plan prioritising
* Reorganise menus at short notice
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in catering
* Excellent customer relations and teamwork skills; able to work on their own unsupervised
* Flexibility to work variable hours
* Full training will be provided
* Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend
* Driving Licence required
