About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality technical support to teaching staff and students in the Construction Department. This involves ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of workshop machinery and equipment, support on practical sessions and help maintain a safe, clean and efficient learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain woodworking machinery.
* Carry out regular inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on construction tools.
* Set up tools, equipment, and materials for practical classes.
* Assist teaching staff during practical lessons as required.
* Handle deliveries, manage stock levels of materials and consumables.
The successful candidate will:
* Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
* A period of relevant and successful time within the construction industry.
* Health and Safety competence in the Industry.
* Proven experience operating and maintaining wood machining equipment.
* Ability to build relationships within the industry to forward our reputation.
