Housekeeping Supervisor (PLJA)
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee pre-arrival, arrival, during-stay, and departure housekeeping operations for assigned properties.
* Ensure that properties are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
* Assist in training housekeeping staff, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
* Organise staff rosters, assign workloads, and monitor housekeeping staff and contractors.
* Issue keys in accordance with departmental procedures and ensure staff have adequate cleaning supplies.
* Set and maintain high standards for staff appearance and behaviour.
* Report maintenance issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.
* Verify the legitimacy of individuals entering properties.
* Collaborate with the Housekeeping Coordinator for efficient scheduling.
* Manage purchase orders and requests, ensuring timely delivery of items.
* Organise end-of-season maintenance and spring-cleaning programs for soft furnishings and other areas.
* Conduct stock takes and ensure properties are stocked with necessary supplies.
* Attend to client requests and manage personal items left in properties.
* Ensure proper handling of personal and household laundry, particularly in overseas properties.
* Organise service rotas and supervise staff when clients are in residence.
* Assist clients with personal tasks such as sourcing items, shopping, and booking restaurants.
* Handle flower and chocolate orders, general shopping, and pet care duties.
* Assist in setting up new or rental properties as needed.
* Liaise with other departments and attend departmental meetings.
* Supervise timesheets and rotas and handle ad-hoc duties as required.
* Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
* COSHH, manual handling, and health and safety certifications (Essential)
* Proven housekeeping experience (Essential)
* Supervisory or management experience (Essential)
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Essential)
* Clean driving license (Desirable)
