The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious Corporate M&A Associate (4+ PQE) to join a dynamic corporate transactions team. You will contribute to high-quality, commercially focused M&A work across a range of mid-market deals, advising clients on both buy-side and sell-side transactions. You’ll work closely with partners and senior associates to deliver outstanding legal services and help drive successful outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support corporate M&A transactions, including share and asset acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures
* Draft and negotiate key transaction documentation (SPAs, shareholders’ agreements, disclosure schedules, etc.)
* Conduct and manage legal due diligence and coordinate responses to diligence queries
* Provide commercially grounded legal advice that aligns with clients’ strategic objectives
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless client service and advice
* Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and trainees
Candidate Requirements
* England & Wales qualified solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in corporate M&A
* Strong technical grounding in UK corporate law, with experience of private M&A transactions
* Exposure to private equity transactions is advantageous but not essential
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
* Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver pragmatic, client-focused advice
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
