As part of our Compliance Team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring every home meets strict safety standards. From reviewing electrical certification to preparing for inspections, your work will directly protect the wellbeing of our residents.
What you'll be doing
Ensure Electrical Safety & Compliance
* Review and sign off all electrical certification, ensuring full compliance with NICEIC requirements and the IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition – and any updated regulations as they arise.
* Ensure all work undertaken by the electrical team meets Ocean Housing's quality, safety and performance standards.
Prepare for Audits & Uphold Standards
* Prepare Ocean Housing for all electrical audits by ensuring policies, procedures, and evidence are fully compliant and up to date.
* Maintain rigorous documentation, monitor performance indicators, and support continuous improvement across the electrical service.
Lead, Support & Develop the Electrical Team
* Supervise and motivate multi-skilled trades colleagues, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standard.
* Provide guidance, resolve on-site issues, and champion a culture of “right first time.”
* Promote collaboration, innovation and high performance across the wider Property Services team.
Deliver Excellent Customer Service
* Be a trusted point of contact when issues arise, delivering solutions with professionalism and empathy.
* Help maintain Ocean Housing's strong reputation within the community.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualification in electrical to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* City & Guilds 2391 Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations or equivalent.
* Up to date knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition regulations qualification.
* Minimum of two years’ responsibility and knowledge for electrical work.
* Has significant experience in electrical, building or property maintenance.
* Understands the importance of compliance, safety and regulatory standards.
* Communicates clearly and works confidently with both trades teams and customers.
* Stays calm under pressure and thrives on problem‑solving.
* Is organised, proactive and committed to delivering an exceptional service.
* Brings a positive attitude and a passion for continuous improvement.
