Overview
South Staffordshire College is looking to employ a full‑time Mechanical Engineering Lecturer with experience teaching Mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a successful team and work within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, deliver and assess various aspects of Mechanical Engineering programmes for Level 3 & 4 apprentices, Level 2 & 3 BTEC learners and Engineering T‑level students at the Tamworth and Cannock campuses.
* Design and lecture courses in mechanical engineering, ensuring content meets industry standards.
* Mentor and support learners, providing academic and personal guidance throughout their studies.
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be working towards one (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed).
* Hold a minimum level 4 qualification in a mechanical or engineering subject area.
* Have experience of the mechanical engineering industry with recent work in maths/science‑based subjects.
* Having an assessor and/or verifier award would be considered advantageous.
