Job summary
Harrogate is a vibrant, picturesque and interesting spa town that provides the backdrop for a healthy, safe and satisfying working environment. It has excellent housing stock, sought-after state and independent schools, and was officially voted the happiest place to live in the UK. It is within easy reach of motorways, main-line rail services and within close proximity to Leeds Bradford Airport.
There is variability to the mental health needs of both areas, as there are pockets of affluence with independent schools, as well as areas of deprivation and unemployment.
This is a substantive 1.0 WTE Consultant post in the Harrogate Acute Hospital Liaison Service (AHLS). This is a replacement post after the post-holder moved internally to another Consultant post within TEWV.
AHLS currently provides a Core-24 Liaison Psychiatry service to Harrogate District Hospital. This services sits within the whole systems model in the Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire area.
Main duties of the job
This is a 10PA post with Harrogate AHLS.
This post involves care for both Working Age Adults (WAA) and Older Adults (OA) and we would therefore invite those with dual CCT qualifications as well as single CCT qualifications. In the case of those with single CCT qualifications, we would ensure that the post-holder would get appropriate support and supervision with a Consultant with an appropriate CCT if required. The post-holder should have appropriate Liaison experience and preferably an endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry.
