Job Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist based in Princes Risborough. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce accurately machined enclosures. Day‑to‑day tasks include setting up and calibrating machines, performing routine maintenance, monitoring the production process, adhering to quality control standards, and troubleshooting equipment as needed. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with the engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
Equipment
The majority of the work is carried out on Steinhauer Modbus Vertical CNC Milling Machines, 2‑axis, and CNC Innovations ISEL Gantry Milling Machine 3‑ and 4‑axis.
Hours
08:00‑17:00 (Mon‑Thurs), 08:00‑15:00 (Fri)
Qualifications
* Proficiency in machine operation and ability to set up and operate CNC machinery
* Expertise in machining and milling processes
* Strong skills in quality control to ensure high production standards
* Experience working with various types of machinery in a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Understanding of workplace safety practices and protocols in a manufacturing setting
* Previous experience in the electrical or industrial control sector is an advantage
* Relevant certifications and/or vocational qualifications in CNC machining or a related field
* MS Office: beginner – intermediate
