What you need to know about the role
An opportunity has arisen for a technician covering support for a wide range of Process Control equipment. This role will involve working alongside others and also on your own.
The scope of this role includes working on a wide range of instrumentation and electronic equipment designed to measure parameters such as temperature, pressure and flow. General duties will incorporate responding to breakdowns, verbal and written reports, interaction with other Process Control professionals and manufacturing departments.
You will be responsible for executing inspections, maintenance, servicing, diagnosis/repair and improvement activities to a wide range of plant and workshop based equipment. You will deliver safe, effective and efficient standards of workmanship together with environmental control.
What we need to know about you
We are looking for someone with experience/knowledge in a similar technical role, a familiarity and understanding of Instrumentation and Process Control systems. Training with current personnel will be included due to the range of equipment. Computer literacy skills will also be required.
Good industrial experience of maintenance, fault finding and repair skills are required and you should be qualified to Electrical NVQ level 3, or have served a recognised apprenticeship. However if you have other technical skills and experience which can be applied to this role, this will be considered.
You must be self-motivated, innovative and be capable of seeking continuous improvement in the process and the reliability of the equipment in your area. You should also have good communication and people management skills.
