Job Description
3. Support the preparation monthly of monthly management accounts including posting journal, accruals and prepayments.
4. Assist with balance sheet reconciliation.
5. Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
6. Assist in the production of reports to the Boards of Directors.
7. Assist with year-end audit preparation, including supporting schedules and information request.
8. Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
9. To contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
10. Proactively support the implementation of new systems and help improving those in place.
11. To assist the Group Accountant in the preparation of ad-hoc projects and reporting.
12. To ensure that all bookkeeping, documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date.
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
13. Previous experience in an Accounting or Finance role
14. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
15. Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations would be an advantage
16. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs), Word and SharePoint
17. A professional, diligent and approachable manner
18. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
19. A proactive approach to problem solving and meeting deadlines
20. Excellent organisational skills
21. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
