The site houses 25, birds and has been fully modernised to provide excellent working conditions and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the farm, ensuring high standards of bird welfare, fertility, and biosecurity are maintained.
While experience in broiler breeder management is ideal, candidates from broiler or layer backgrounds will also be considered. What matters most is a strong foundation in poultry husbandry, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to take ownership of the site.
This is a hands-on management role with a five day working week, designed to promote a sustainable work life balance. Youll be joining a supportive, family run team that takes pride in doing things properly and investing in its people.
Role Overview
1. Manage daily operations of a 25,-bird broiler breeder site
2. Oversee flock health, fertility, and welfare
3. Implement and maintain biosecurity and hygiene protocols
4. Supervise and support farm staff
5. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry standards
6. Liaise with vets, nutritionists, and technical advisors
7. Ensure smooth running of the newly refurbished site
8. Report directly to the farm owners
About You
9. Experience in broiler breeder management preferred
10. Poultry experience essential (broiler or layer backgrounds welcome)
11. Strong understanding of bird welfare and biosecurity
12. Confident, reliable, and ready to take ownership
13. Excellent communication and organisational skills
