Main purpose
The Brewing Sales Specialist will be responsible for direct brewing sales in North America. This role will focus on connecting with craft and industrial breweries across the U.S. and Canada to build strong customer relationships and manage existing accounts. The brewing sales specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver go-to-market plans, manage the sales pipeline, and grow sales in the region. The ideal candidate is already integrated with the U.S. brewing community and can connect with brewers in an authentic and professional manner.
Location and Travel
Location: Ideally based in a major U.S. brewing hotspot (e.g., Denver, Portland, Asheville, Minneapolis, California, or similar) with nearby international airport and ability to travel frequently.
Travel: Up to 50% of the time (mainly domestic, occasionally international).
Duties to Include
* Develop and manage sales opportunities for Aber’s brewing sensors and equipment across the US and Canadian brewing markets.
* Leverage existing brewing network to generate leads, secure meetings, and expand customer relationships.
* Collaborate with breweries to understand process challenges and recommend tailored technical solutions.
* Deliver sales presentations, demos, and proposals to customers.
* Build and manage the sales pipeline, maintain leads in CRM, and ensure accurate forecasting.
* Represent ABER at trade shows and brewing conferences.
* Promote ABER’s product portfolio to drive customer adoption in the US craft brewing market.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement go-to-market plans, including pricing, positioning, and marketing strategy.
* Ensure customer satisfaction and manage post-sales relationships.
* Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
* Strong, established network within the US brewing industry.
* Minimum BSc in a technical field or equivalent industry experience. A degree or certification from a brewing or distilling school/institution is preferred but not required.
* Sales experience is preferred, but not essential.
* Customer and solution-focused.
* Previous use of CRM would be advantageous.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Current and valid U.S. driver’s license and passport with the ability to freely travel.
* Technical fermentation knowledge is an asset but not a requirement, as the successful candidate will receive in-depth product training.
* A second language would be desirable.
* Knowledge of Employee Ownership.
