CNC Production Engineer UK | Precision Engineering (Motorsport & F1) | Competitive SalaryShorterm Group are working with a leading precision manufacturing business supporting the Motorsport and Formula 1 sectors, recruiting for an experienced CNC Production Engineer.The RoleYou'll play a key role in bridging engineering, CNC programming, and production, developing efficient machining processes for high-precision components. This is a hands-on position focused on improving quality, reducing cost, and supporting performance on the shop floor in a fast-paced, high-spec environment.Key Responsibilities- Program 3-5 axis CNC machines using NCG, Hypermill or EdgeCAM- Set and optimise Heidenhain-controlled machines, tooling, and cutting strategies- Apply DFM principles to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times- Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and process improvements- Create work instructions, SOPs, and routing documentation- Lead process capability and continuous improvement initiatives- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through to productionRequirements- Proven experience in high-precision CNC machining (Motorsport/F1/Aerospace desirable)- Strong CNC programming and CAM experience- Good understanding of GD&T, cutting tools, and manufacturing processes- Experience with Heidenhain controls- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent experience- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailApplyIf you're looking to work at the cutting edge of Motorsport and F1 precision engineering, apply today or contact Max at Shorterm Group for a confidential conversation.
