Key Responsibilities
· Managing an established portfolio of commercial clients, providing exceptional personal service.
· Understanding clients’ business operations to identify their insurance needs and offer tailored solutions.
· Preparing and presenting new business and renewal proposals.
· Seeking new business opportunities including prospecting, networking, referrals.
· Meeting individual sales and income growth targets.
· Building strong relationships with clients and insurers.
· Negotiating terms with insurers to secure the best coverage and competitive quotes.
· Staying up to date on industry trends, regulations, and products to offer informed advice.
Key Skills / Experience
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and insurers face to face.
· A passion for commercial insurance broking.
· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
· A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and problem-solving.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
· A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; further education or insurance-related qualifications are a plus but not essential.
· Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams.
· Use of Acturis insurance software preferred but not essential.
· A full UK driving licence and own transport essential.
