Your new role
As the Corporate Property Project Manager, you’ll take full client‑side responsibility for delivering capital projects across the council’s estate from cradle to grave. You’ll develop project briefs, lead feasibility studies, procure and manage external consultants, and oversee delivery through design, procurement, construction, and handover.
You will also be responsible for managing NEC contracts, controlling budgets and programmes, and ensuring all projects meet statutory, regulatory, andernance requirements. Your portfolio will include a range of corporate property schemes, including the redevelopment of amunity sports facility such as a cricket club—acting as the council’s representative and ensuring the project meets operational,munity, and strategic oues.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Strong experience managing capital projects within a public sector, local authority, or corporate property setting.
2. Proven ability to manage projects from inception topletion, including feasibility, design development, procurement, and delivery.
3. Practical experience administering NEC contracts and working with external consultancy teams.
4. Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to engage with service leads, elected members,munity groups, and technical professionals.
5. Confidence managing budgets, risk registers, and project programmes.
6. Knowledge of building regulations, propertypliance, and construction processes.
