The role
As a Supply Clerk, you’ll be part of the Supply Control Accounting Section — the central point of accounting for RAF Halton. You’ll support a wide range of supply activities, from asset control to documentation, ensuring essential equipment and materials are accurately recorded and managed. Your work underpins the smooth running of operations on a busy RAF station and contributes to the successful delivery of the HADES contract.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
1. Ordering, administering and registering stationery for RAF Halton
2. Managing Personal Holding Records (PHR) for station personnel
3. Progressing vouchers and maintaining supply account filing
4. Supporting asset accounting, inventory administration and stock‑taking tasks
5. Assisting the wider Babcock team with activities that ensure HADES contractual delivery.
This role is full time working 39 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Halton, Buckinghamshire. Shift patterns include working Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00, and Friday 08:00–16:00.
Essential experience of the Supply Clerk:
6. Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
7. Strong customer service skills
8. Experience in administrative tasks
9. Confident communicator (verbal and written)
10. Able to work effectively in a dynamic, customer‑focused environment.
