Are you a creative person who loves working with communities and connecting people and places? Our Programming and Partnerships Officer plays an important role in helping everyone to feel welcome when they visit our Mid Ulster portfolio of properties which stretch from Strabane to Newry in Northern Ireland; a combination of country houses (The Argory, Springhill & Ardress House), parkland (including Derrymore House and Demesne), an island (Coney Island) and industrial heritage buildings (Wellbrook Beetling Mill and Gray's Printing Press).
As Programming and Partnerships Officer you'll help to create and deliver a range of events and activities to ensure our visitors have a great visit to our places.
This is a short-term 3 month contract with the possibility of extension.
What it's like to work here
You'll report to the Visitor Operations and Experience Manager and will be part of the Visitor Experience Team. You’ll work with the property team to ensure that the current planned programme of events is delivered, as well as identifying new visitor engagement and partnership opportunities.
You'll liaise and collaborate with regional and national experts and specialists. You'll also establish and maintain good relationships with partners, neighbours, contractors and other external organisations.
What you'll be doing
Together with your team, you’ll be devising and running a programme of events and activities with partnerships at their heart.
You’ll be focussed on building local partnerships with community groups, and you’ll lead on activities that are being run by these partner organisations.
As well as planning and organising a programme of events and exhibitions to run in all the places covered by your role, you’ll be linking these events to the places themselves to make sure they’re both relevant and appealing to people.
You'll be responsible for some budgets and will be supervising volunteers.

able to measure and assess results, and show their impact
