Cyber Incident Lead Location: Heathrow Airport, Hounslow, UK (Hybrid) Contract Type: Permanent Industry: Cyber Security / Information Security About Our Client Our client is a major international organisation in the aviation sector with a history of operational excellence and technological innovation. Role Overview The Cyber Incident Lead will play a key role in ensuring the organisation can effectively identify, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents. Reporting to the Cyber Incident Manager, the postholder will work closely with stakeholders across the business to manage and improve the incident response lifecycle. This is a critical role requiring strong analytical skills, calmness under pressure, and the ability to communicate technical information to a wide range of audiences. Key Responsibilities Lead the response and management of cyber incidents across the organisation on a 24/7, 365-day on-call basis. Develop, maintain, and manage incident response processes. Present complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way to stakeholders of varying seniority. Build strong relationships with business stakeholders. Conduct thorough risk assessments based on incomplete or ambiguous information. Contribute to the development of in-house digital forensics capability, supporting investigation teams. Collaborate with other cyber teams to feed incident data into tool tuning and control assessments. Liaise with partner companies to coordinate responses to widespread incidents, sharing threat intelligence and lessons learned. Manage relationships with suppliers supporting incident response, ensuring continuous improvement. Person Specification Essential Skills & Experience: Strong analytical skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical audiences. Ability to remain calm and prioritise effectively in high-pressure situations. Understanding of incident response methodology. Relevant experience in cyber incident response within large, complex organisations. Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Desirable: Experience in digital forensics. Understanding of aviation, transport, or critical infrastructure environments. Relevant cyber security qualifications (e.g., GIAC Incident Handler).
