Position Summary:
We seek a skilled biochemist to join our Protein Science group. The role involves designing, producing, and characterizing therapeutic antibodies within a multidisciplinary team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge biotherapeutics in a fast-growing biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with diverse scientific teams to drive design and production of therapeutic molecules, optimizing their biochemical and biophysical properties.
* Serve as SME for antibody expression and purification platforms, contributing to ModeX’s multi-targeting strategies through antibody engineering and workflow optimization.
* Develop protein purification processes and perform multistep purifications for downstream assays.
* Plan experiments, analyze data, and communicate results with cross-functional teams.
* Maintain high-quality documentation in electronic lab notebooks.
Qualifications:
* MS or Ph.D. in protein science, biochemistry, structural biology, or related fields.
* At least 6 years (MS) or 3 years (Ph.D.) of relevant lab experience.
* Experience with mammalian cell culture and recombinant protein expression.
* Proficiency with protein purification techniques and AKTA systems.
* Knowledge of biologics characterization technologies like BLI/SPR, ELISA, HPLC, UPLC.
* Preferred: antibody structure/function knowledge and experience in multispecific antibody development.
* Strong communication, organization, data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
