Overview
The role: Making one-offs and small batches of complex precision machined components from various aerospace grade materials.
Accurately inspecting and measuring components using various inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, verniers and plug gauges.
Setting and operating manual/CNC lathes (knowledge of either Fanuc, Siemens or XYZ controls).
Responsibilities
* Produce one-offs and small batches of complex precision machined components from aerospace grade materials.
* Accurately inspect and measure components using inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, plug gauges).
* Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes with knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens or XYZ controls.
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum of five years experience in a precision machining environment.
* Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and engineering drawings.
* Ability to produce complex components to drawing tolerances and specifications, efficiently and accurately.
* Adherence to quality standards.
* Enthusiastic can-do attitude with an eye for detail.
* Experience as a Machinist: 3 years (required).

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm and Friday 7.30am-12.30pm.
Leave: Five weeks paid annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays.
Location note: The premises are situated in a rural location not served by public transport and your own transport will be required.

Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
