The opportunity
Finatal are partnering with a PE backed multi-site healthcare business who are searching for an experienced CFO who can execute on their buy & build strategy. They have acquired 12 sites so far and plan to be at 40 + in the next 2 years. This incoming CFO will need to ensure reporting, systems and controls are strong and will need to implement a clear integration plan for a high volume of acquisitions. They will be investor-savvy, able to execute M&A deals as well as being a sound business partner to the CEO and other senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives, including organic expansion and acquisitions.
* Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, providing insights to optimise financial performance.
* Implement financial controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
* Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimisation across the organisation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
* Streamline financial operations to support scalability and growth.
* Serve as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
* Conduct financial analysis and modelling to evaluate business performance and assess opportunities.
* Partner with business units to develop pricing strategies, assess profitability, and drive revenue growth.
* Evaluate potential acquisition targets, conduct financial analysis, and assess strategic fit.
* Lead the M&A process from initial due diligence through integration, working closely with external advisors and internal teams.
* Develop integration plans to ensure successful post-acquisition integration and realisation of synergies.
* Oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
* Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure accuracy of financial statements.
* Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven track record of success in financial leadership roles, preferably within a multisite environment
* Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving and driving results
