MEDICAL NOTES SUMMARISER- Maternity Cover
Heathfielde is looking for a Medical notes Summariser for its busy GP Practice. This position is part time maternity cover 25-30 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, organised, self-motivated, excellent communicator.

Main duties of the job
Sorting out patient records and letters in preparation for summarising. Reviewing medical records and producing an accurate summary of the patient's history.
Read coding the information into the practice clinical system.
About us
Our existing team is friendly and cohesive with high levels of experience. Practice team made out of 5 GPs, practice nurse, 2 HCAs, 2 clinical pharmacists, social prescriber, practice manager, admin and reception staff.

Responsibilities
Cullingand sorting patient records and letters in preparation for summarising
Reviewingmedical records and producing an accurate summary of the patients medicalhistory.
Readcoding the information into the practice clinical system
Auditingdata collection standards in the practice
Monitoringprogress of notes summarising against practice targets
Monitoringpatient call and recall systems
Filingand retrieving paperwork

It is a requirement of the job for the post-holder to use computers or other information technology and he/she will be required to ensure that security procedures are followed as appropriate and that confidential information for example, passwords, are not communicated to unauthorised individuals.
