Be among the first to apply. This is a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract for a Band 7 Lead Nurse, leading a care team at our 10-bed hospice in Sully.
About the Role
Role Focus: Strong operational leadership for clinical services at our hospice, combining clinical expertise with management skills. Significant leadership experience in a paediatric palliative or acute setting (Band 6 level or above) is required.
Your responsibilities include providing visible, compassionate, professional leadership to the hospice-based care team, collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, maintaining high standards of clinical care, safety and governance, and contributing to service development, quality improvement, and innovation in palliative and end-of-life care. You will be expected to oversee clinical care for complex or urgent cases and respond to urgent situations following policies and procedures.
Contract details: full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 3 x 12.5-hour shifts over a 7-day week (Monday to Sunday) with on-call duties.
About You
As a Registered Nurse you will have experience leading and managing a shift in high-stress environments. You will report to the Head of Nursing and play a pivotal role in continuous improvement. You will demonstrate strong communication skills, be a team player with a value-based approach to staff development, and work collaboratively with the wider organisation.
