A large, vibrant secondary school in Hackney is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning and behavioural needs. This is a role for someone calm, resilient, and confident setting boundaries in a positive way.
You'll work closely with students who may struggle in a mainstream classroom without the right support - your presence will matter.
Key focus of the role:
Supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, and additional needs
De-escalation, reassurance, and consistent routines
1:1 and small-group work during lessons
Working alongside SEN and pastoral teamsYou'll suit this role if you:
Have experience in SEN, care, youth work, or behaviour support
Can stay calm when things don't go to plan
Are firm but fair
