Automation Training Manager – UKLocation: Warrington (UK)Travel Percentage: 20%Function: Automation / Service / Learning & DevelopmentAbout the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Training Manager to establish and lead a growing technical training capability within our UK business.This is a unique role combining hands-on training delivery, programme development, and strategic growth, with the opportunity to build the UK into a key hub for customer and internal automation training.We’re open to candidates from two backgrounds:An experienced technical trainer looking to specialise in advanced automation systems, orAn automation engineer with a passion for training, coaching, and knowledge sharingWhat You’ll Be DoingDelivering Customer ValueDeliver high-quality technical training to our UK customer base for the full product range including:Valmet DNA DCSValmet QCSAnalyser and measurement productsBuild and manage a structured training schedule, including customer-specific coursesPlay a key role in growing our UK training businessDriving Internal CapabilitySupport the Western Europe region in the rollout of DNAe with training across the areaDeliver structured training programmes for automation engineersBuilding the Future Talent PipelineAct as a mentor and coach to engineers and early-career professionals, supporting their technical development and career progressionContribute to building a strong internal capability by sharing knowledge and best practices across teamsSupport onboarding and upskilling of new employees through structured and informal trainingFoster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organisationDeveloping Training ExcellenceCreate and maintain engaging technical training content (classroom, hands-on, and digital)Continuously improve training based on feedback and evolving technologiesEnsure training aligns with business objectives and delivers measurable impactWhat We’re Looking ForExperienceBackground in automation engineering, DCS systems, or technical trainingExperience delivering or developing technical training (or strong desire to move into training)Knowledge of industrial automation systems (Valmet DNA or similar is an advantage)SkillsMandatory UK Driving LicenseStrong communication and presentation skills – able to simplify complex topicsPassion for developing people and sharing knowledgeOrganised, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesCommercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growthCollaborative mindset with ability to work across global teamsWhy Join Us?This role offers a rare opportunity to:Shape and grow a high-impact training function from the ground upContribute directly to business growth and customer successPlay a key role in the rollout of next-generation automation solutionsDevelop future engineering talent and capabilityInterested?If you’re passionate about automation and developing people – and want to play a key role in building something new – we’d love to hear from you!
