Job Purpose: To take a senior leadership role in clinical trials within the University of Glasgow, based in the Centre for Excellence in Trials Collaboration (CETC) in partnership with the Glasgow Clinical Trials Units (CTUs).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead the strategic development of CETC’s reputation as a centre of excellence in clinical trial methodology in partnership with Glasgow CTUs.
2. Provide leadership in research and publication to enhance the University’s international profile in clinical trial methodology, maintaining high-quality research outputs.
3. Sustain and grow high-quality research activity, securing funding through external grants and infrastructure support.
4. Lead strategic learning and teaching initiatives, embedding a research-led ethos and fostering innovation and collaboration.
5. Undertake academic management and leadership roles to enhance the student experience and ensure programmes meet international standards.
6. Supervise research staff, postgraduate, and undergraduate students, fostering their development and engaging with prospective research students.
