Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team at Holly Tree Lodge Care Home. This role is vital in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff alike. The Maintenance Person will play a key part in maintaining the comfort and safety of our home, supporting our commitment to exceptional elderly care.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
* Repair and troubleshoot issues related to building facilities, including lift systems, heating, and lighting.
* Collaborate with staff to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
* Assist with the setup of new equipment and facilities upgrades.
* Support emergency repairs as needed to minimize disruption.
* Supervise junior staff or contractors when required.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance roles.
* Knowledge of schematics, welding, and PLC systems is highly desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Customer service orientation with a friendly approach.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in maintenance or engineering are preferred.
