Job duties: Work side-by-side with software engineers and data scientists in designing modeled data sets to be used in many different applications, from proof-of-concept to production. Build data warehouse and data marts. Own data quality and data knowledge around all data that is affected. Design dimensional data models for various groups such as Finance, Sales and Care. Develop custom batch-oriented and real-time streaming data pipelines (cloud and data-center). Operationalize open source data-ingestion, data processing, and data-analytics tools for enterprise use. Follow best practices for unit testing, continuous integration and development, performance testing, capacity planning, documentation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Provide root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Work with various teams, including product management, QA/QE, product lines, and business units to drive forward results. No direct reports and no managerial duties. Individual contributor level role only.
